A mobile app is a channel, not a project
The apps that succeed in Egypt and Saudi Arabia are rarely the ones with the most features. They are the ones that solve a specific, repeated problem for a specific audience — ordering, booking, tracking, paying, learning — and do it faster than the alternative. Before we write code, we help you define that problem precisely, because it decides everything that follows: the platform, the architecture, the launch scope, and the budget.
Jad Digital is a mobile app development company based in Cairo. Since 2019 we have designed and shipped iOS and Android apps for startups, clinics, real-estate developers, retailers, and service businesses across Egypt, Saudi Arabia, and the Gulf — and we support them long after they reach the App Store and Google Play.
What we build
Our mobile work covers the full range of business apps:
- Customer apps — ordering, delivery, booking, loyalty, and subscription apps with payments and notifications.
- Marketplace and on-demand apps — two-sided platforms with customer and provider apps plus an admin dashboard.
- E-commerce apps — mobile storefronts connected to your existing store or ERP; see e-commerce development.
- Field and operations apps — sales reps, technicians, drivers, and inspectors working offline with sync when connected.
- Healthcare and education apps — appointments, records, courses, and progress tracking with strict privacy controls.
- Companion apps for SaaS products — the mobile side of a web platform; see SaaS development.
Native, Flutter, or React Native? We choose with you, not for you
There is no single right technology for every app — there is a right technology for your app. We build with Flutter and React Native for most business apps because one codebase ships to both iOS and Android with native performance, faster releases, and a lower long-term maintenance cost. When an app depends heavily on device hardware, AR, or platform-specific features, we recommend native Swift and Kotlin instead. We explain the trade-offs in plain language in our guide to Flutter vs React Native, and we put the recommendation in writing before the project starts.
Behind every app is a backend that has to be as solid as the interface: secure APIs, authentication, push notifications, payments, analytics, and an admin panel for your team. We build that too — usually on Node.js or Next.js with PostgreSQL / Supabase, hosted on cloud infrastructure that scales with your users.
How we take an app from idea to the stores
A predictable process is the difference between an app that launches and one that stays in development forever:
- 1. Discovery and scoping (free). We map the users, the core flows, and the minimum version that delivers real value — the MVP. You receive a written scope and a phased plan.
- 2. UX flows and UI design. Every screen is designed in Figma for iOS and Android, in Arabic and English with proper RTL, and reviewed with you as a clickable prototype before development.
- 3. Backend and API architecture. Data model, security, integrations, and the admin dashboard are designed together with the app so nothing is bolted on later.
- 4. Development in sprints. You get a test build on your own phone every one to two weeks through TestFlight and Google Play internal testing.
- 5. QA on real devices. Functional, performance, and security testing on the actual phones your customers use — not only emulators.
- 6. Store submission and launch. We handle App Store and Google Play listings, screenshots, review compliance, and release — under your developer accounts.
- 7. Post-launch support. Crash monitoring, analytics review, OS updates, and a roadmap for version two.
Built for the Egyptian and Saudi markets
An app for this region has requirements that international templates ignore. We build them in from the start: Arabic-first interfaces with correct right-to-left layouts and typography; integration with local payment gateways and wallets in Egypt and Saudi Arabia (Mada, Apple Pay, STC Pay, Fawry, Paymob, and others); OTP and WhatsApp-based verification; Hijri and Gregorian dates where needed; and performance tuned for mid-range Android devices on mobile networks, which is where most of your users actually are. For Saudi clients we also account for local data-residency preferences and platform requirements when the app handles regulated activities.
What determines the cost of developing a mobile app?
We don't publish app prices because the range between a simple single-purpose app and a marketplace with three roles is enormous. The factors that actually drive the investment:
- Number of user roles and apps — a customer app alone, or customer + provider + admin.
- Feature depth — payments, real-time chat, maps and live tracking, offline mode, and video each add meaningful scope.
- Backend complexity — integrations with ERP, CRM, payment gateways, and third-party APIs.
- Design scope — number of unique screens and whether a design system already exists.
- Platforms — cross-platform (Flutter / React Native) versus fully native for both OSs.
- Compliance and security — health, finance, and children's apps carry extra requirements.
We wrote a detailed breakdown in what determines mobile app development cost in Egypt. The fastest route to a real number is a free 30-minute call — you leave with a scoped MVP, a fixed price, and a timeline.
Why clients choose Jad Digital for mobile development
A few of the apps and platforms we have shipped:
- Locator — a real-estate platform with smart property search, interactive maps, and agent dashboards.
- Afaq Al-Jawda — a mobile-first storefront for the Saudi market where 65% of orders come from phones.
- Integrated Dental Center — patient booking designed around a clinic's real workflow.
What sets our mobile projects apart is ownership and clarity: your developer accounts, your repository, a named project manager, weekly demos, and a fixed scope per phase so there are no surprises. Browse the full portfolio or read how to choose a software company before you decide.
After launch: keeping the app alive and growing
Apps need continuous care: iOS and Android updates, library upgrades, store policy changes, crash fixes, and the feature ideas that only appear once real users arrive. Our support plans cover monitoring, maintenance, and monthly improvement sprints, so the app you launch keeps getting better instead of slowly breaking.
